What this site collects, and what it does not.
Short, because there is not much to say. This site has no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It collects what you type into a form and nothing else.
What we collect
Nothing automatically. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising or tracking code of any kind.
If you fill in a form, we receive what you typed: your name, your email address, your organization if you gave it, and your message. That is all.
What we do with it
We use a form submission to reply to you, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it, add you to a mailing list, or contact you about anything other than what you wrote.
Submissions are kept while the conversation is live. Write to the address below and we will delete yours, and confirm when it is done.
Who else handles it
- Netlify hosts this site and receives form submissions on our behalf, then emails each one to us. Like any host, it keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of each request, for a short period.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, and Google receives the IP address that made the request. Google does not receive anything you type here.
No one else receives anything from this site.
The board finder and the data pages
The appointments finder and the research pages show public records: the Governor’s published appointment reports and California’s disclosure filings. They are about public bodies and public filers, not about you, and using them collects nothing from you.

Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
